It is about 2011 that I made the thing that I am called Shoto Holder first. Everybody knows, when I went to Keiko in Niten ichiryu Musashikai, I knew its existence.
From those days, Some examples were uploaded in the Internet. For example, it processed a porch or a phone holder and made it, or the things which it was leather and made beautifully. |

「This is interesting and wants to make it!」
I am a product designer not a joke. Anyway, Let's think about "a thing to be able to easily make with few materials and few parts".
And show it on my site "The way to 5dans of kendo", and if all can make it, everybody may be pleased.... I thought. |
This is Shoto Holder which I made first (the right phot). The fabric does not change now that I make it. This is a photo of the trial product which I made really first. It is thin Holder which I made with leather of 2mm thickness.
Nito Kenhsi of four people downloaded a paper pattern of this initial model Shoto Holder and did a handmade product. Three people of those are overseas Nito Kenshi. They sent a completion photograph to me.
I was surprised, and I was glad very much. |

Then, using slightly thick leather, and devised the parts of the shaking stopper, the model of current Type-A evolved little by little. |

Or, When some said that "I want to make it" , We exchanged barter style happily.
I might present it to Nito Kenshi which came from the foreign countries. |

When it is 2015, I interchanged with much Nito Kendoka through facebook.
At the same time, The person, "Please to make Shoto Hder!" appeared.
I want to make it, but I am not such a rich man.
If it is one and two, it is good, but it is hard to make it a lot for the labor economically.
" OK! Please buy it, then I will make it to you! "
" OK! Good. Please! "
" Oh, rrr, Really? "
I talked to myself......
Is this a part-time job?
Is this business?
Is this the trial that God gave me?
I surely said so, it is difficult to get money, and to be given it.
Does Shoto Holder which I make have enough quality?
A miracle happened at such a time.
To mass-produce leather products, The arm sewing machine which a thick thing can pass through is indispensable.
However, even a used machine is very large because it is the very special industry.
Is there not the means that it obtains somehow?
When I told it to my friend casually,

Thanks to this arm sewing machine, a mass production of "DANNOYA" specially made Shoto Holder was enabled.
Because the work to sew lining on has this sewing machine, it is possible.
I created a carved seal board of "DANNOYA" by myself.
And the service to carve a seal performed the name of the user and decided to give the quality as "a product".

However, I want to make the thing which all of Kendoka can be pleased with carefully.
